Successfully moved computer and desk from Room Formerly Known As Office to the Living Room. I feel exposed and jumpy and weak and anxious - but tis done. Now the little furball doesn't have to be near the ick in order to be near me and it's probably healthier for me. And I'm not in anyone's way at all while they fix that, but I can live-blog if I need to.

I have my keys back. They said no one had a chance to go into my apt while I was out at therapy. Nothing looks moved or shifted to I think that's true.
Why did I have to give my keys in the first place? Because I was leaving and they changed the locks (last week? week before?) because someone tried to break in (namely Mr. Scuzzy Security Guy). So they don't have a key to get in. I don't know if they made a key while in possession of my keys. They could have. But I wanted this thing fixed.
If it's fixed then maybe it'll pass inspection and I won't have to move until my lease is up - which gives me 6 months of breathing space.
Anyway home. Tired. Cranky. Seem to have bought less groceries this month cause the cupboards look a lot bare. I may end up buying groceries a week early.
Feel saner.
Had it explained to me that this stuff would overwhelm, aggravate and raise any one's blood pressure.
Did I mention the house seems warmer now the vent's closed in the room of doom (in the apt of lies in the building of suck)? Maybe it's cause there are three vents in the living area. Or maybe it's cause it means more air in less space? Maybe a combination. But I'm actually typing without a blanket thrown over my legs.
Then again, the computer room could have been cold because, well, part of the ceiling was/is rotten and air was creeping in that way.

4:03pm. No one has been to my apt to see about the hole all day (I cannot be certain of the hours between 10:30 and 2:30 but I was told no one used my keys or entered my apt.)
I hope whatever they're doing (they're said to be on the roof) it will lead to a positive end result.
I am trying not to hope the landlord didn't step on a bad patch and fall through and break his leg.
But I'm not trying very hard.

Just spent 15 mins tidying up the kitchen - Oh what a difference it makes.
SekritMsg2: Zvi, I absolutely and totally forgot our 'system' since during the summer I was handling it all pretty damn ok; five mins here, five mins t here. But I feel so much more pain during winter it's not possible. So I've used the system now. And I'll be able to catch up, when I'm able. Plus having a tidier kitchen will probably make me feel more inclined in the first place. / end sekrit transmisin

The extra warm I thought was happening in the living room? It died the minute the wind started to blow. Now in the living room I'm catching draft from not one, but THREE windows. And so now I've suddenly remembered why I was keeping that space by the windows clear of boxes. But I had to put my stuff SOMEWHERE, cause I couldn't keep my desk in the room with the ick.
G'damn, I hate this apt.
I actually hate it.
If this apartment came to life, I'd bitch smack it till it begged and then guilt, mind control it into murdering the landlord for me and then I'd kill it, so it could become an apt again and leave no evidence.
