Question
Has anyone else ever had to give bank account information for a rental application?

It's been a long time since we rented, but I think we had to give bank account information and proof of employment. I'm not absolutely sure, though, about the bank account stuff. I am quite sure about the proof of employment.

Given that there were students living in the complex, the management company must have used some other criteria for their applications.

Danke.

I called my bank about it. And I researched online. And since I've already given a deposit check, she already has the information for the bank account. So I went ahead and gave it for the credit check.

It's always seemed a bit of a liberty, actually: but some landlords do do it.

Yeah, my current place wanted all kinds of info...

Thanks.

Life is still weird, though. Really weird.

yes, as part of the basic credit check every landlord I've had has done, and that I, as a landlord, have done unto my lodger. I'd say it's legit.
