For years I've tried to get into Channukah. I enjoy hearing the story. I enjoy thinking on it every year. But Judiasm is such a community religion - and I an extreme introvert most of the time.
But still, Happy Channukah to those who celebrate it!
(Dec 22nd is still my personal fav holiday which only occasionally falls near the Solstice).

Why is it that attending the High Holy Days costs so much money? Are there alternatives for Jews without lucre? Jews currently stalled in the cash flow? I know it's at a discount and yet $300 is beyond me.
