I just dropped unlimited long distance from my phone, which is basically $10 extra a month - because I'm paying for minutes on my cell and not using much of them. So I didn't want to continue paying for something I don't use. And this made me feel more comfortable about what my monthly insurance will be.
However, I'm now contemplating paying $10 a month for 50g at Dropbox. On the one hand I feel there's no way I'd ever use that much space, unless I was perhaps hosting music I was afraid would disappear (do I even have that much music that's purely digital?) . The primary focus would be online backup of current files and using Scrapbook + Dropbox (which I already do), so as to more freely save whole pages to come back to later. Very often I stumble across interesting tibits and research bits, and bookmark - but end up worried about the page disappearing. And lately I worry about losing things I've scrabbooked should something go wrong.
It's not reassuring that the homepage of the extension has disappeared and I don't think I ever thought to scrapbbook the scrapbook site, just in case. Which means I'm currently SoL in remembering how to do a couple of things I now want to do with it.
Dropbox does offer public links for files, so it would solve the problem, I believe, of my no longer wanting a webhost. I'm satisfied with my journals as my spaces. But I have missed having host space. And this would be far more space than I'd ever had before, at a far less price.
But it is difficult not to wish they offered a something smaller between free service and first tier pay. Because I would want to use it enough that paying seems fair.

Can you use adblock plus to kill actual websites? Ban them from your browser somehow? Does anyone know of anything one can use to killfile a site?
I would like to make my time on the internet a little less filled with the racist and stupid. I find that every time a race discussion comes around, there's enough of a set of people to call them a crowd or a group who simply have to post about :
a) How they're afraid to get involved because they'll be beaten by the privilege stick for being afraid of being beaten by the privilege stick (called on their shit).
b) How they hope all the people pointing out the racist thoughts are actually also doing something meaningful with their lives, because this is all so pathetic.
c) How all this hooha political correctness is going to result in blander and more boring books where no one writes anything interesting for fear of offending someone.
d) How they're staying away from the wankfest/flamewar/dogpile (cause OMG people are so angry, it's totally flaming)
Everytime a race discussion happens, these comments come out. And I'd like to keep track of who's saying them for the first time out loud/in public and who's said them before, so I can just strike them off my internets.
Come on folks, this has to exist, surely the racists have some version and we can use it to our own ends. I'm tired of the stupid people and if I can't actually shove them in a rocket and send them to WTF land, I'd like to get them off my visual internets. When I do a search or click a link, I want a banner to come up 'THIS LEADS TO HONKEYSHINES' so I can go 'ok then' and move on.
Killfiling in comments does not have the same level of satisfaction as obliterating someone off your internets. And sometimes killfile doesn't even work on some sites.
So suggestions? Ideas? Scripts? Programs? I will spend cash money on a program that would let me do this. I am effing tired of the whiney, pale asses with their racist, white privilege, clueless blathering and self-centeredness. I would also like to killfile off my internets a whole bunch of self congratulatory middle class white feminists who make me want to choke a bitch or not be female because I want nothing in common with them.
I want to ban white privilege fellatio requests off my net time.
I cannot be the only one.
So do I need netnanny or something and then I get to personalize it per website? Is there a Firefox Add On? Do I need effing Firefox (the buggy) 3?
Help me spare my blood pressure and my urges to stab honeky in the neck. Help keep me from straight up hating on some Pale Asses.

Oh great. I have City of Heroes kinda somehow on my computer. And NCsoft Corporation has my personally identifying information - cause I spent an hour talking myself into going ahead and giving said information. And now I don't have a serial code for said game.
Note to self, if people want personally identifying information and I haven't yet figured out how they work/if I like them/if they're a service I even really want - they can bite my flat arse.

ETA2: Y'know when I read in the user agreement that you agree you do not OWN the master account, I never considered that meant I have no right or control over deleting it. Fuck that shite for a lark. I've changed what I could (since last night actually) but there's still my surname on that shit. Yeah, so starts and ENDS my exploration of MMORPG's. They can go suck Dubya's cock. And from now on, I won't immediately think my trepidation about stuff like this is all fear of the unknown and me feeling discomforted by something I don't know. This shit is SKEEZY.
